Kyala

Her beauty was unparalleled anywhere
He was a soldier, strong as any
Laying with her
He whispered to her ear
She dreamt of adventure, heroes, monsters and lovers
In the height of a battle
Yelling to save his friend
His tongue was cut
Never more to whisper
Never again to tell her tales
He learned to write
He wrote and wrote his epics for her
He died protecting the gates of the city
A warrior’s death
Valiant and honorable
Upon seeing his body
She wept and wept and wept to her own death
On the spot where their bodies did lay
A flower of unparalleled beauty
With but a single petal sprung
In it, his poems were inscribed
Forever whispering tales to her
